Have you ever left a review for an app and then later wanted to remove that rating? For example, maybe you gave a five-star rating for an app, but after further use, you decided you wanted to give a three-star rating?
Or maybe you gave an app a one-star rating, but after a while, you decide that the app deserved a five-star rating? With just a few taps, you can remove your ratings for any app on your iPhone or iPad.
After removing the rating, you can leave a new rating by heading to the App Store page for that app.
Directions to Remove App Ratings
Before you begin, make sure that your iPhone or iPad has the most current version of iOS or iPadOS installed. For example, the pictures in this article are of my iPhone SE 2020, which has iOS 14.7.1 installed.
Tap on the Settings icon.
In the settings menu, tap on your Apple ID name located right at the top.
Here, tap on “Media & Purchases,” located right below the iCloud option, as shown below.
Next, tap on “Ratings and Reviews” to continue.
In the Ratings & Reviews area, you’ll see all the apps that you’ve rated and reviewed to date. Swipe left to remove a rating/review.
Now, tap on “Remove” to remove the rating/review for that app.
